Wikimedia username change not reflected in EditGroups properly

Hi,

After changing my Wikimedia username from Afeef → Haseeb55, EditGroups and QuickStatements still partially use my old username. This creates split attribution and incorrect user mapping across tools.

Observed behavior:

When logging in to EditGroups, it shows me as User:Afeef (old username) (see attached screenshot).

My older batch edits appear under: https://editgroups.toolforge.org/?user=Afeef

Edits made after the rename appear under: https://editgroups.toolforge.org/?user=Haseeb55

Additionally, QuickStatements V2 background batches are still listed under the old username:
https://quickstatements.toolforge.org/#/batches/Afeef

Expected behavior:
After a username rename, EditGroups (and related tools) should map old usernames to the new username or update the stored username reference.

This looks like a username-rename sync/mapping issue between Wikimedia account renames and EditGroups user identification.

Could you advise whether this is expected behavior and if there is a planned fix or workaround?

Hi @haseebafeef I'll take a look into it. I guess some renaming would be necessary and I don't know if there would be a way to automatically detect that...
