we might be able to try an 'exponential-binary search' algorithm to get comments faster.

there seems to be a page limit of 67 which is strange

there's also an issue that some comment pages are just empty and are viewed as the end of the comments list, which is false

there is a problem. if you try doing this e.g. on griffpatch's comment section, so many comments are posted that you cannot binary search it, because once you determine the page bounds, then they move out from underneath you as the comment moves to a new page

so while this kind of algorithm is possible, it has to seriously consider quite a few edge cases and I am not ready for it right now. If someone wants to implement it instead, feel free, but do know that it is quite complicated

for now, i will just fix the bug involving empty comment pages with the current implementation
